My name is Janet Sutton and this is my first year as the Media Coordinator at Sandy Ridge. I spent the last 6 1/2 years as a Media Coordinator at Weddington High School and prior to that I worked in CMS. Originally from New Jersey, I received a BS in Accounting from Rutgers University. I earned my MLIS from UNC Greensboro in 1995.
I have been married to Steve for 28 years and we have lived in Matthews since 1986. I have two grown sons, Marc and Daniel and a precious maltipoo named Edison. I enjoy movies, music, shopping and playing trivia.

As a Media Coordinator, I want every student to develop a love of reading. One of my favorite books is "Where the Red Fern Grows." I am here to guide each student to what books interest them and make reading an enjoyable experience. I want everyone to feel welcome in the Media Center and look forward to this school year.

I am Denise Wahlers, and I am excited to join Sandy Ridge Elementary as the new Media Assistant.

I was born and raised in South West Florida and I am a huge football fan - GO Miami Dolphins.

I have been married to my husband, Scott for 19 years and we have three children.

Mallory is in the 9th grade at Marvin Ridge High, and is in the marching band.  Matthew is in the 4th grade here at Sandy Ridge and plays football for a local league.  Megan is in the 2nd grade here at Sandy Ridge and cheers for a local football league.

We moved to Waxhaw two yeas ago and love it.  I have volunteered and substituted here at Sandy Ridge.  I look forward to seeing all of you.
